Finishing up Day 4 on MAP

When choosing the timing for beginning a new program...do think through where you are in your girlie cycle: doing the hard work yet being extra bloated is not motivating :/

Being emotional and wanting comfort foods when you are committing to eating clean - not a good fit either :/

That said though, the exercises are good for a change of focus. And the pain is a 'hurts so good' type pain - at least there must be muscles there for them to hurt ;)

I am still coughing, but am not congested - so I can still breathe through the workouts :)

I am a bit concerned with how I will manage the workouts over the weekend as we are going away - it is the late mornings that will mess me up ;) I am resourceful enough to work them in though - I will simply rearrange the alarms on my phone, and get them done.

I hope to get back here during the weekend...but if not, it means I am enjoying my loooong weekend ;)

Third Day Of MAP

I am onto day three of Dax Moy's MAP with his Elimination Diet.

Keeping a log of the work done shows me that no matter how sore I am feeling, I am improving in stamina and strength!!! My scores are getting better :D Because the workouts are very short, the end is always close meaning that I am inspired to really push through to the end - and my finish scores are often better than in the first set!

I am not as tired as I was at the end of day one, and strangely am not as sore either (but I am still very sore!)

I am coming down with the cough that my children have (deep and phlegmy) so will see how that impacts performance.

Food needs a bit more conscious effort - so am off to the green grocers for some more fresh stuff :) And will get the recommended supplements too. I will rug up though- we are having very wet and windy weather here in Oz.

Day Two on the MAP

I was as tired last night as if I had played several games of hockey in the one day! And rolling over in bed was painful- aching muscles all over :(

The workouts today were as tough as yesterday, perhaps tougher because the muscles were still sore, but I pushed through, making sure I did the work. It sure felt good to finish ;)

Eating went to pot after lunch - more mindset muck than food, so must get beyond that... PMT too :/

But now I have some perspective, I shall soldier on.

I actually am getting used to the sore muscles, and it feels good to know I am working them and that they are changing. Goodo.

The Dreaded Stats and Day 1 progress

Here are the measurements, so we can see how much they decrease over the next 30 days!!!

Weight: 163lbs
Waist @ belly button :38 1/4 in
Waist (natural): 31 6/8 in
Hips: 41 in
Left Thigh: 19 5/16 in
23 in
Right Thigh: 19 5/16 in
22 5/16 in
Left Arm: 11 7/8 in
Right Arm: 11 3/8 in

I am currently feeling very tired - having been put through Dax's Meltdown and an Individual Circuit. I feel like I have played a full-on game of hockey (grass hockey here in Oz), which I do play on the weekend, so I know what I am talking about!

I have had no coffee today...-that in itself is a win for me. I had a lovely smoothie for breakfast, fruit and almonds as a snack and tomato lentil veg soup for lunch. There is a lot of freedom in eating simple fresh and nourishing foods...

There are two more exercise sessions for today (both brief and intense as the earlier ones were).

I am wondering how tomorrow will go though - this morning really was hard work! I will keep in mind what the final goal is though, and choose to enjoy the process that gets me there.

Tomorrow we begin!

Tomorrow we begin the trial of Dax Moy's M.A.P. program (though I think I get a headstart, being Down Under and all ;) I say Bring It On!!

Today I am feeling the effects of some poor food choices yesterday and today, possibly made as a pschological reaction to the upcoming challenge - and understanding that mindset plays a huge role in the transformation process, I will do some extra thinking around this, as I do not want to sabotage myself anywhere along this journey - neither for Dax and the trial's sake, but for my longterm welfare also!!

I have downloaded the materials to refer to and have familiarised myself with the exercises, will print out the forms to follow along, send the mp3 to my phone to play during Meltdown, and do a menu plan for the Elimination Diet. I will measure myself in the morning... I will also put reminders in my phone, as I shall be doing short exercise sessions through the day, instead of the usual one.

I am ready.

The Before Pictures

Well, here are the "Before" photos!

It is Winter time here...and am glad that by Summer I shall be in much better shape ;)

I am excited about the new smaller jeans that I will be purchasing in a few weeks when these are too big.

(I am proud of my son who pained the picture int he background!!)

Bring on the changes!!

London Personal Trainer Dax Moy's MAP Challenge

I've just signed up for London Personal Trainer Dax Moy's 30 day M.A.P fatloss challenge and I'll be keeping a day by day, blow by blow account of the whole thing.

It is time to get in shape, and Dax knows what he is doing, so I am in good hands to get great results!

The whole of my life has been a journey of into and out of shape. No great extremes, but the pain and frustration are constantly there just the same.

As I begin my practice as a Life and Wellness Coach, the time is right to really live with integrity - to be at my best, so that I can inspire others to be at theirs.

Dax Moy is qualified to help me get there...and yet his program will produce no results without my commitment and action.

So that is what I am here to do - show my commitment, be accountable and take action.

Here's to an incredibly profitable journey!
